Thermal Grizzly Lapping-Tool For Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU Contact Frame

The Lapping-Tool for Intel's 13th/14th Gen processors is designed to safely lap the heat spreader of the CPU. By mounting the CPU onto the lapping tool with the included screws, the heat spreader can be ground down by 0.2 millimetres. This tool is also compatible with Intel 12th Generation Core CPUs and comes with sandpaper in grit sizes 400, 1200, and 2,500.

How to use

The lapping tool features ridges on the acrylic glass surrounding the CPU, each 0.2 millimetres high. When these ridges are completely removed, the sanding process should be stopped. It is important to ensure that processors of the 13th/14th generation are not ground down more than 0.2 millimetres to maintain compatibility with the Contact Frame. For optimal contact between the IHS and the CPU cooler's base plate, the latter should also be lapped. The tool comes with three sheets of sandpaper with grit sizes of 400, 1200, and 2,500 for multiple uses.
